Gravel road speed limit still simmers

Carl Richardson has lived on gravel Washington Road in Rochester for 36 years. Despite the fact that the speed limit is now 55, he says people are still speeding. Two weeks ago, he confronted a speeding driver, who turned out to be an off-duty deputy. “He said, ‘I’m sorry; I thought I was going the speed limit,’” Richardson said. Rochester Area Republican Club Meets Sept 15

On September 15, 2011 at 7pm the Rochester Area Republican Club will be meeting at the American Legion Hall in Downtown Rochester. Oakland County Sheriff’s Re-CYCLE for Kids Program

As summer draws to a close, Sheriff Michael J. Bouchard wants to remind the public that the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office continues to accept donations of new, used, or in need of repair bicycles and bicycle accessories and parts as part of a recycling effort to support the Sheriff’s Re-CYCLE for Kids Program sponsored by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
