Gail Kemler Celebrates a Century

Rochester is marking the 200th anniversary of its founding this year, and local resident Gail Kemler has witnessed almost half of the town’s two centuries of history. Kemler, of Rochester Hills, is planning to celebrate her 100th birthday at the end of this month, in the company of scores of family and friends. Appeals Court Ruling Validates City of Rochester Hills Again

Courts Determined City Acted Appropriate in Gas/Oil Leasing Decision The Michigan Court of Appeals has upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit filed against the City of Rochester Hills, Jordan Development Company and Sunoco Pipeline by Don’t Drill the Hills, Inc., a citizen’s group which sought to invalidate the oil and gas lease the City approved in 2012. The lawsuit claimed the oil and gas lease was unlawful under state law and the city charter and require voter approval. But, the three-judge … [Read more...]
