Memorial Day is observed on the last Monday in May to honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Military. The Greater Rochester Memorial Day Committee is hosting two separate programs to honor veterans. The first event will take place at Mt. Avon Cemetery, located at 2nd Street and Wilcox Street, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a second program at Veteran Memorial Pointe, located at 1015 S. The Greater Rochester Memorial Day Committee will be hosting two separate programs to honor veterans. The first event will take place at Mt. Avon Cemetery at 9:00 a.m. followed by a second program at Veteran Memorial Pointe, located at 1015 S.
