Michigan Patriot Week passes in the Senate and House; Oakland and Macomb counties

It was announced today via press release that the State Senate joined the State House’s action from early this month and designated September 11-17, 2011 as Michigan Patriot Week. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley also designated Patriot Week in their respective states. Local Senior Receives Award for Patriotic Essay Contest

Oakland County Circuit Judge Michael Warren, Co-Founder of Patriot Week, and Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson presented high school senior Lindsey Pieper with her first prize award for this summer's patriotic essay contest. Pieper, 18, attends Marian High School in Bloomfield Hills. She is the daughter of Dr. Dan Pieper and Donna Pieper of Bloomfield Hills. Flag Day Speaker Judge Michael Warren Renews American Spirit

Oakland County, MI (June 8, 2011) – Oakland County Circuit Judge Michael Warren will be the guest of honor and featured speaker for a Flag Day celebration hosted by the VFW Acorn Post 1669 on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
