2015 MI Great Artist Competition Underway as “The Many Faces of God” Exhibition Opens for 2014 Finalist

The works of MI Great Artist finalist and sculptor Estela Monjo will be on display beginning Friday at the Oakland County Executive Office. Entitled “The Many Faces of God,” the exhibition presents a collection of clay and plaster sculptures created by Monjo, a St. Clair Shores resident and former school teacher. Oakland County Community & Home Improvement Team Member Named “Housing Counselor of the Year” by State Agency

In an announcement made today, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority named a 14-year veteran of the Oakland County Community & Home Improvement Division, “Housing Counselor of the Year.” Commerce Township resident Lon Shook received the award today during a luncheon at the Building Michigan Communities Conference in Lansing. “Lon goes above and beyond to ensure his clients’ needs are addressed in the best possible way,” Oakland County Executive L.
