The three-member Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) Board, at its regularly scheduled meeting on January 14, reelected Ron Fowkes to a second term as Board chairman and Eric Wilson as vice chairman. The third Board member is Greg Jamian. Rumor Has It … The Orion Road Bridge over the Paint Creek in Oakland Township is near completion. The final layers of asphalt are being laid this week. The original completion date was set for August 1, and then it was changed to August 15. Orion Road Bridge to Close Orion Road will be closed just north of Snell Road to replace the bridge over Paint Creek in the heart of Oakland Township. Starting June 23, the closure will last to approximately August 15 with the complete project wrapping up by September 12. More than 7,000 vehicles cross the bridge every day.
