Oakland County’s economy is among the better performers in Michigan with a 4.6 percent jobless rate, County Executive L. Brooks Patterson recently announced. Second Best Year Ever for Emerging Sectors® as 2013 Investment Tops $500 Million

Oakland County’s Emerging Sectors® business attraction and retention strategy had its second best year since inception, generating more than $518 million of investment in 2013 while creating or retaining 4,200 jobs.
