Next Tuesday, Michael Dwyer of Rochester Media, will join The Midweek Meanders walking group to lead a hike in Oakland Township and the Village of Goodison to visit two of the area's cider mills. Square Dancing at Cranberry Lake Farm

In 2012, the Oakland Township Historic District Commission held its first square dance. It was a success. They now offer two per year, usually the third weekend in June and the second weekend in September, most often on a Saturday evening. Oakland Township has a New Manager

On March 16, 2015, Warren Brown started his first day as Township Manager for Oakland Township. He replaces Ann Capela—previous Township Manager of two years—who resigned in September of last year. The Township Board of Trustees had narrowed their search to three candidates in January. Warren Brown, Michael Rogers, and Darrell Fecho were in the running.
