Community Volunteers at Tienken Park for Clean-Up Sunday, May 1st

Over 30 volunteers spent 2 hours bagging trash, raking leaves, and moving dead branches.  Many of the volunteers had never been in the park and commented on how the property was a beautiful destination for residents wishing to enjoy the outdoors.  The park has a lot to offer with its forest, wetlands, and a large open space that was once a horse pasture.  According to the Rochester Hills Park & Forestry Director, Mike Hartner, the city will now maintain the park by regularly moving the open … [Read more...]
