Adams Road Gets a $1.4 Million Dollar Facelift!
The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), in partnership with the cities of Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills, will conduct a public information meeting June 13 to share plans for the upcoming resurfacing of Adams Road between South Boulevard and Auburn Road on the Rochester Hills/Auburn Hills border. Icy Road Updates
The sunshine and warmer temperature today have really helped, and motorists should find most roads in much better shape for the evening rush hour today. The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) has had all available staff and equipment on the road all day today, and will keep them out until after the sun goes down. Salt or Sand on Our Icy Roads
Again this morning all RCOC trucks are on the road (we've been out non-stop for close to 60 hours now), and will be throughout the day today salting and cleaning up. The low temperatures overnight last night and Sunday night made it very difficult, as the salt is essentially ineffective when the temperatures are in the single digits. Tienken Road Bridge Over Stoney Creek Now Open!
The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) yesterday afternoon (Oct. 19) opened the new Tienken Road bridge over the Stony Creek between Sheldon and Washington roads in Rochester Hills. Tienken Road had been closed at the bridge since June so the bridge could be replaced. The bridge that was replaced was built in 1940 and its structure was significantly deteriorated.
