The City of Rochester Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), sponsored by the Rochester Fire Department, was awarded the Michigan Citizen Corps ‘Team of the Year” at the State Citizen’s Corp Conference held in Traverse City in December. Rochester Area Youth Assistance, (RAYA), along with the Rochester Fire Department, is hosting it third annual “Fire It Up for Youth” Spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Fire at Rochester Hills McDonald’s
On Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 4:14 P.M. Rochester Hills Fire Department, assisted by Rochester Fire Department, responded to a fire at McDonald’s on Rochester Road. The first arriving units reported heavy smoke coming from the building, and crews entered to find fire in the cooking area. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the area of origin.
