400 METERS: TREVON SALTER, Auburn Hills Avondale: Few athletes had the type of senior season like Salter, who is headed to Division II Saginaw Valley State next season for track and field. Rochester’s Handler leads State-meet Performances

 Something about close finishes and Brook Handler seem to go hand in hand. The last time Handler, now a senior at Rochester High, was involved in a close finish, it came in the final 100 meters of the 3,200-meter relay at Rockford High School, site of the Division 1 track and field state championships this past June. Scott Cunningham, a Rochester High School graduate, will be making the move to Nicaragua this fall. Scott, Kyleen and their 2 little girls, Taylor and Daniela, will be heading to Nicaragua to serve with Food for the Hungry. TYLER LEPPEK, Rochester High- Leppek was called up to the varsity ranks midway through his freshman campaign and he slowly developed into one of the top snipers in the OAA as a senior.
