On April 4, Rochester police responded to a report made by a woman in the 1600 block of Chase Drive that a man was cutting wires that lead into her home. Speed sign knocked over on Parkdale Ave. On Sunday, Jan. 26 around 2:30 a.m., a Rochester resident told police about a downed digital speed limit pole on Parkdale Ave. After the resident heard a loud bang outside their home, they saw the pole on the ground but were unable to identify the car that hit the speed sign. Intoxicated man disturbs peace over weekend On Saturday, June 29, Rochester Police investigated a report of an unwanted man yelling outside a Fraser Street residence. Dispatch told officers the man was trying to gain entry to the home and was intoxicated. When officers arrived, they found the 35-year-old Washington man yelling in the backyard, attempting to have the homeowner let him in. Rochester Police agree to no-raise contract
A few years ago, the Rochester Police Department’s patrol officers were so unhappy that they flew a banner over the Rochester Christmas parade to air their grievances. But things have quieted considerably, and this month the officers agreed to a new contract in what has been described as a cooperative process.
