Brooks Patterson, Sheriff Michael Bouchard, and Oakland Schools Superintendent Dr. Vickie Markavitch are teaming up to ensure that teachers and staff at schools throughout the county have the training they need should they ever encounter an active shooter. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard is asking the community to go into their closets and donate new or clean, gently used coats as part of the annual Coats for the Cold coat drive, now through November 30th. The coat drive was created by Bouchard and has grown over the past 26 years. This year it features a partnership with the Oakland County Pet Adoption Center.
