Pat Somerville, former Mayor of Rochester Hills, dies at age 80 Pat Somerville raised show dogs and ran a dog grooming business before getting into politics. She and her late husband Ken moved from Detroit to Rochester Hills in the late 1960s. Former mayor Pat Somerville dies

Former Rochester Hills Mayor Pat Somerville died Saturday, March 2, 2013. In an email, her close friend Suzanne White notified friends. "With a heavy heart I write you to tell you our beloved friend passed away this morning. Pat was 80 years old. Pat was not in pain and died peacefully in her sleep." Dinner to aid child with cancer

Suzanne White is well known in the Rochester community for her longtime leadership of The Holiday Helpers of Rochester Hills, which assists the less fortunate of the city. Now, it’s someone in her own family who needs help. White’s 8-year-old granddaughter, Bailey Mackey, was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer.
