On Monday, Sept. 2, the Rochester Police Department investigated a breaking and entering at Sweet Island Yogurt on Main Street. The manager told officers she closed the business and locked up around 10:30 p.m. the night before—Sunday, Sept. 1. When she returned Monday morning, she found that the shop’s door, which faces the alley, had been pried open. A safe and two cash register drawers were taken and are still missing. When September comes around, art lovers and area residents start to get excited for another Downtown Rochester Fall Gallery Stroll. Galleries and businesses all over downtown Rochester turn over their spaces to new artists, and invite the public to come in and see the artwork, meet the artists, sample some refreshments, and enjoy a fall evening strolling through the streets of the town.
