The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) released its weekly road update and residents living in the vicinity of the Tienken and Livernois intersection will have to wait a little longer to drive through the new roundabout. Most of the work is done. However, it has been too cold to place the final layer of asphalt, so that has been postponed until spring. After being closed for months, it looks like commuters will have to wait a little longer before they can use the new roundabout at the Tienken and Livernois intersection. According to the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), the contractor on the project, Dan’s Excavating of Shelby Township, will file for an extension to Nov. 23. Dear Crabby, What’s the Deal with Roundabouts?
Dear Crabby, Years ago I visited England for work and had my first exposure to roundabouts. I remember being so thankful that my guide was doing the driving and not me, and that we didn’t have these silly things in the United States.
