The Grass Roots Performing Live for Meadow Brook Theatre’s Annual Concert & Cuisine Benefit

Meadow Brook Theatre (MBT) presents THE GRASS ROOTS on July 15, 2017 for the Theatre’s annual fundraising event Concert & Cuisine. The event includes a pre-glow reception, strolling dinner and one-night-only concert with the band. All proceeds benefit Meadow Brook Theatre, a nonprofit organization and Michigan’s largest professional theatre.

In the entire history of Rock n’ Roll, only 9 bands  – (including The Beatles) have charted more hits on Billboard’s Hot 100 than The Grass Roots. Their classic hits include, “Midnight Confessions,” “Temptation Eyes,” and “Let’s Live for Today.” Formed in 1965, The Grass Roots have 29 chart singles; 13 of which went gold followed by two gold albums and one platinum album. The Grass Roots have continued to be one of the most recognized groups on “Classic Rock” stations for over 50 years.

“We’re so excited to have The Grass Roots come to Meadow Brook Theatre,” said Cheryl Marshall, MBT Managing Director. “Our intimate theatre space is going to make for a GREAT concert – no seat is more than 60 feet from the stage. It’s going to be an unforgettable evening with strolling dinner by a dozen local restaurants, cocktails, silent and live auction and more.”

Pre-concert reception featuring strolling cuisine, wine and cocktails begins at 6:00 p.m. Concert performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Concert & Cuisine is a ‘black tie creative’ event, which means flip-flops and cocktail dresses, tuxedo t-shirts, and sneakers. Or keep it classic and enjoy a rockin’ evening at the theatre.

THE GRASS ROOTS  concert and pre-glow will both be at Meadow Brook Theatre, 207 Wilson Hall, Rochester, MI 48309. Tickets Range from $85 to $125. All proceeds benefit the theatre. Tickets can be purchased by calling 248-377-3300, online at Ticketmaster.com or in person at the Meadow Brook Theatre box office.
