Join the Rochester Area chapter of Junior Chamber International for a vital training seminar, Dealing with Difficult People, on Wednesday, April 4, at Rochester College, 800 W Avon Rd, Rochester Hills, Michigan, 5:30 p.m to 8:00 p.m. This seminar, which is open to the public, explores some of the most common personality- and communication-based conflict types and provides strategies to mitigate uncomfortable situations.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with networking and dinner followed by the training seminar at 6:00 p.m., and a question and answer session from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This seminar will be led by professional trainer Jay Johnson, partner at Coeus Creative Group.
Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Registration costs $25 per person and includes dinner, networking, the training seminar, and a Q & A session. Current members may enroll at a reduced price of $10. Exclusive for this event only, non-members ages 21-40 can purchase a one-year membership to Junior Chamber International – Rochester Area for $80 and attend the seminar for no additional cost.
Jay Johnson is a nationally renowned speaker specializing in communication and leadership development. Using a unique perspective of behavioral intelligence, he has had the opportunity to work with top organizations such as Ford Motor Company, Kentucky Fried Chicken, State Farm, United Way, Consumers Energy, UM Health Systems, Crain Communications, and AmeriCorps. From keynotes to workshops, Jay has traveled the globe developing talent, from entry-level employees to executive management. Jay is a designated Master Trainer through the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and is a two time Excellence in Training Award recipient from the National Association of Professional Communication Consultants. In 2017, he was named “Top Trainer” by the ATD Detroit Chapter. Jay is a Lecturer at Wayne State University and holds a Master’s in Communications. He has a devotion to teaching and learning and is passionate about empowering people to solve problems and reach peak performance in work and in life.
About Junior Chamber International – Rochester Area
The Rochester Area chapter of Junior Chamber International (Jaycees) have a long tradition of community involvement and outreach. Since 1958, the organization has provided the young adults, ages 21-40, of the Greater Rochester Area with leadership training through community-service initiatives.
Some annual JCI-Rochester Area projects include assembling and delivering Easter baskets to area seniors, operating Safety Town summer camp, running a haunted house in Rochester Municipal Park, and taking at-risk children shopping to buy gifts for their families during the holidays.
