Congratulations to Reuther Middle School student Amanda. who won 2nd Place in the 8th Grade Essay Contest sponsored by the American Association of University Women-Rochester Branch and the Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills Public 
Libraries. The awards were given out recently at the March AAUW Meeting during Women’s History Month by Teen Librarians Pat Hemingray (Auburn Hills Public Library) and Kricket Hoekstra (Rochester Hills Public Library). Amanda wrote about her PRIDE mentor, Jennifer Fortress, and was able to read her essay aloud to the audience with Ms. Fortress present.
