The Rochester Symphony Orchestra invites the public to “Pops in the Park,” a key event in the 2025 Kiwanis Club’s Music in the Park series. This family-oriented program offers a variety of music suitable for all ages.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, at 7:00 p.m. in Rochester Municipal Park, featuring an evening of popular tunes, movie music, and classical selections such as Tchaikovsky’s “Capriccio Italien” and Leroy Anderson’s “Serenata.”
Soprano Kristy Barnes will perform the National Anthem to open the event, followed by the orchestra’s tribute to all branches of the military with the Armed Forces Salute. The evening will conclude with John Philip Sousa’s march, “The Fairest of the Fair.” In case of rain, the event will move to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Rochester.
