Attendees are cordially invited to experience the holiday music presented at the Rochester Symphony Orchestra’s (RSO) festive concert, “Light,” on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.
An evening of joy and celebration will take place at the decorated St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, located at 620 Romeo Road in Rochester, Michigan. Under the direction of Maestro Zeljko Milicevic, the concert will present a selection of seasonal melodies that evoke the spirit of the holidays.
The program includes a variety of holiday classics, such as Mendelssohn’s “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,” Waldteufel’s “Skater’s Waltz,” Anderson’s “A Christmas Festival,” and a traditional sing-along to “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” along with additional works.

Senior command members of the United States Marine Corps will return to participate and add a touch of community spirit to the holiday event. The concert will again support the Marines’ “Toys for Tots” toy collection, providing an opportunity for attendees to contribute to a cause that brings joy to local children. Attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy.
The evening will feature performances by special guests The Madrigal Chorale, led by artistic director Dr. Brandon Ulrich. The Chorale, described as one of Metro Detroit’s “artistic jewels,” consists of a diverse, multi-generational community of singers and will perform a selection of holiday music.
Soloist and Principal Percussionist for the RSO, Patricia Fisher, will perform a Drum Set Solo with the orchestra titled “The Skater’s Overture.”
Tickets are priced at $30 for adults and $5 for students and may be purchased through the website at www.RochesterSymphony.com/event/light/ or by calling the box office at 248-651-4181. Tickets will also be available at the door, although the concert typically sells out quickly, and advance purchase is recommended. Concert tickets are also available as gifts for lovers of classical music.
