Featuring aptly named individuals like Sneerwell, Backbite, Candour and Snake, this comic masterpiece follows a host of hilarious characters as they plot, scheme and skewer one another in an effort to land their heart’s desire and reach the top of the social ladder of London. Sheridan’s flair for witty dialogue is on full display as words are wielded as weapons and multiple plots entwine to create a dizzying satire that continues to resonate in our age of social media and ‘fake news.’
