The Swing Era, A Big Band Countdown

Learn all about America’s Swing Era and the Big Bands during that time on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Public Library. Between 1935 and 1945, America emerged from the Great Depression and suffered through World War II. The Big Bands played a major role with hundreds of bands playing all over the country. Stuart Johnson’s presentation will count down to number one, the best Big Bands that were the most influential or the most important or the most popular.
