The Winthrop Winds to Perform at the Rochester Hills Public Library

The Rochester Hills Public Library’s Sunday Concert on March 11th at 2 to 3:30  p.m. will feature Winthrop Winds.

The Winthrop Winds are a local wind quintet that performs throughout the Detroit area in public concert settings and at private events. Their repertoire runs the gamut from serious classical to contemporary popular music.  The wide range of timbres produce by the instruments in this ensemble provide in a rich listening experience, no matter what style of music is being performed.  For this program they will be performing some standard wind quintet repertoire, including the beautiful Nielsen Quintet, as well as several pieces based on music from around the world.
