The Women’s Fund recently presented Faith Works – Michigan with a $2000 grant to help purchase raw materials for repair and service projects specifically for widows and single women with children.
Lori Roscoe, Women’s Fund board member, presented the donation check to Faith Works Michigan representatives Bill Pinho, Rick Bronder, Craig Viges and Bob Quigley.
Two specific projects benefited from the funds. First, for a single mother, unemployed with two kids, living in a mobile home, they replaced her kitchen floor, which had been damaged from mold from past water leaks, the living room carpet and replace an unsecured front door. The second project was for a single mother with one son and very limited income also living in a mobile home. Her furnace ductwork was damage and disconnected by animals. They repaired the ductwork, replaced the insulation and repaired the trailer skirt to prevent the animals from entering the trailer, as well as replaced the flooring in the bedroom that was damaged from a previous water leak.

Our team has done every type of home repair from replacing a leaking faucet to fixing a furnace to installing a new roof. Our single limiting factor is the money necessary to purchase materials. The donation from the Woman’s Fund allowed us to change the lives of two woman in need;” Craig Vignes of Faith Works Michigan.
