The Rochester Older Persons’ Commission (OPC) is offering the 50+ Expo on Wednesday, October 2, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at their building, 650 Letica Drive, in Rochester. No pre-registration is required, and admission and parking are free. Shuttle service is available from St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
The event’s guest speaker will be ‘America’s Heart Healthy Doc,’ Joel Kahn, MD. Dr. Kahn is one of the world’s top cardiologists whose mission is to prevent heart attacks through holistic lifestyle education for optimal cardiac health and longevity. He is the author of multiple books on heart health and healthful living, and is a frequent radio, TV and podcast guest for outlets such as Fox News, The Huffington Post, One Green Planet, Forks over Knives, The Doctors and others. He is the founder of the Kahn Center for Cardiac Longevity and over the course of his career, Dr. Kahn has improved the lives and vitality of thousands of his patients, taking many of them from chronic health problems to vibrant living.
In addition to Dr. Kahn, the Expo will provide access to multiple local organizations and service providers offering information and resources on a comprehensive range of topics including caregiving, retirement living, senior housing, legal services, finances, health screening, technology and more. There will also be great raffle prizes and giveaways.
