American Cycle and Fitness Leads Three Bike Rides to Celebrate the Clinton River Trail 15th Anniversary in 2019
The Friends of the Clinton River Trail board is pleased to announce three casual cycling rides as part of the trails’ 15th anniversary calendar of events June 1, July 13 and August 17. American Cycle and Fitness will lead the Saturday morning rides starting at 10 a.m. at the Pontiac outlet store located at 203 N. Perry Street.
The group said Store Manager Joe Pepples of American Cycle rescued the rides after the original sponsor went out of business. Pepples said the length of the rides will be determined by the participating bikers. There is no fee or need to register in advance; bikers of all ages are welcome. Pepples added that the August 17 ride coincides with the store’s annual Dream Cruise-In activities including food and beverage trucks, music, a raffle and classic cars. The Garmin Automotive OEM Team is the sponsor.
Helmets are strongly encouraged and can be purchased at the store. For more information, visit the American Cycle and Fitness Website or call 248-333-7843.

About Friends of the Clinton River Trail
An all-volunteer group, Friends of the Clinton River Trail is dedicated to improving the safety and enjoyment of the trail for all users. Representing approximately 450 members, the group’s Steering Committee works with each of the five cities through which the trail passes to achieve consistent branding for the trail and a common standard for trail appearance and maintenance.
