Three Vie for Open Seat in Rochester Hills Disctrict 2

J. Martin Brennan’s decision not to run for re-election to Rochester Hills City Council as he battles cancer has opened up an interesting contest in the Aug. 2 primary election.

Adam Kochenderfer, M. Jordan Kotubey and Laurie Puscas are running for a chance to move on to the general election in November. Voters may vote for one in the primary. The winner in November will earn a four-year term on council. The newly realigned District 2 includes the north central part of the city.

Kochenderfer is an attorney. Kotubey is a department director at a design college. Puscas is a writer/photographer and small-business owner. Each responded in writing to questions put to them by Rochester Media. Their answers are printed here without editing.
