After a week’s delay, the closure of Tienken Road in Rochester Hills begins Monday, March 30.

The work is needed to complete a Road Commission for Oakland County project which began last summer and included the addition of a roundabout at the intersection of Tienken and Livernois roads.

The resurfacing project will close Tienken Road from Canyon Creek Road to Rochester Road.

Tienken Road is expected to reopen Sept. 3.

A second, concurrent project further west on Tienken Road is scheduled to begin in mid-June. That project is expected to be complete by November.

The projects follow a busy 2014 slate of road work in the Rochester area, which included significant projects along Tienken and Avon roads.
