Rochester Media via Michael Dwyer

  • Michigan
  • Europe
  • Islands of Europe
  • Cuba
  • Costa Rica

Top of the Rochester Media list is Michigan—a wonderful destinations for all the seasons—our home state. Best to keep some of those travel dollars here in the mitten. We suggest you look at Traverse City, Marquette, Grand Rapids, and Muskegon.

The dollar is expected to be stronger against the Euro this summer. Take advantage and visit France, Spain, Italy and Ireland—top picks for Americans—and look at the islands of Europe. The Faroe Islands are located between Norway and Iceland, northwest of Scotland. Many will be travelling there on March 20 as one of the best places to see a solar eclipse. Nearby are the Shetland Islands of Scotland.

In the news is Cuba. As the walls weaken politically, plan to go soon to experience the real Cuba before it’s overrun my Americans. Keep in mind there are still travel restrictions.

Always a hit for those seeking adventure, the tropics, and volcanos—head to Costa Rica—second only to Florida for Americans to retire to. Zip-lining, hot springs, black sand beaches, even renting a car is an adventure in this pure and natural Central American destination.

Happy Travels!
