The Christmas Tree lighting at The Village of Rochester Hills was a spectacular event this year! Rochester Media was there to witness and video the festivities. Mayor Bryan Barnett and Channel 7 News Anchor Dave Lewallen were there to emcee the ceremony. Rochester Hill’s First Family, the Babiak’s, were there as well to count down the final seconds until the tree was lit. The crowd that had gathered consisted of parents, grandparents, and children who were all pleasantly entertained by the Stoney Creek High School Marching Band and the guest appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus on a beautiful, horse-drawn sleigh. Be sure to visit The Village this holiday season to experience the wonder of the decorations and the lights. Your kids can visit with Santa and get a picture taken on most weekends between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. Click here for a full schedule. Also, for a taste of Frankenmuth without the long drive, check out the new English Gardens Christmas Store located near Starbucks this month! Scott Aikens, V.P. of Leasing for The Village said, “The Christmas Tree lighting is our annual kick-off for the holiday season. With Santa, the lights, the restaurants, and new stores like SOMA Intimates, The Village Art Gallery, and The English Gardens Christmas Store, we are pleased to help community members make this holiday season one to remember.”
