The Older Persons’ Commission is excited to announce two unique travel opportunities, Louisville, KY “Horses, Bourbon, & Museums” trip June 6-9 and Mackinac Island a “Grand Experience” October 8-11.
Discover Louisville Horses, Bourbon, & Museums June 6-9
Louisville was selected by Trip Advisor and USA Today as one of the 2018 “Destinations on the Rise” with top notch museums, restaurants, and attractions.
This trip includes guided tours of the Louisville Slugger, Frazier Historical, and Kentucky Derby Museums.
In addition, travelers will enjoy a bourbon tour and tasting and live racing at Churchill Downs. This is your chance to experience Louisville so sign up before May 4.
Grand Experience Trip to Mackinac Island October 8-11
This trip is an opportunity to enjoy the best of Mackinac Island at a greatly reduced rate. In partnership with the Michigan Parks and Recreation Association and the Grand Hotel the Grand Experience is a long-standing travel program for Michigan residents 50+.
This Mackinac trip includes accommodations at the renowned Grand Hotel, 3 full breakfasts, nightly 5 course gourmet dinners, roundtrip motor coach transportation, ferry ride, hotel transfers, all gratuities, taxes, baggage handling, and more. Once on the island, Grand Experience staff members provide programs such as bocce and golf tournaments, behind the scenes tours, and educational opportunities. The deadline to sign up for this trip is June 8.
