I know it hasn’t felt too much like summer lately, but school will be out for the summer very soon! What are you going to be doing with your kids to keep them busy without breaking the bank? Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a great option for fun and making new friends.
It looks like “Kingdom Rock” is a really popular theme this summer! I’m kind of excited to check it out 
myself. I urge you to contact a church or visit their website to get more details, especially regarding the price. Three of the Vacation Bible Schools are completely free. St. Philip’s is charging a fee, but the kids receive a t-shirt and CD. There are also scholarships available and limits as far as how much a family can be charged. The SpringHill Day Camp at Faith Church is more intense than a typical Vacation Bible School, thus a higher price. It’s an all-day camp with a huge variety of activities such as archery, dance and rope climbing, as well as Bible study and relationship building. Definitely check out that website!
It’s great to have the flexibility of choices for this summer. Your child could attend three different Vacation Bible Schools this summer since the dates work out so nicely. Not only is Vacation Bible School a great place to meet new friends and learn about God, but it’s also a fantastic way to visit a church, if you are looking for a church home.
