Volunteer Your Creativity for OPC’s “Be Seated Auction”

Calling all artists! The Older Persons Commission (OPC) is looking for artistic people of all ages, young or old, to design and decorate chairs for their “Be Seated Auction” which will be held in conjunction with their ever-popular Used Art Sale on Thursday, September 25. DSC06315

All you need is a chair (old or new) and a little creativity. Chairs can be painted or bejeweled, embellished with mosaics or pottery pieces, Zentangled, stenciled, word-burned… the sky is the limit. Make a chair for indoors, outdoors, or even as a garden accent.

Chair must be received by Friday, September 12. The OPC will take a limited number of donated undecorated chairs and find someone to get the job done, but the chair style and condition must be pre-approved by Paula. No upholstered chairs accepted. Tax receipts available upon request.

Before you begin, contact Paula at paula_bedsole@opcseniorcenter.org (preferred) or 248-608-0253 to okay your project and later to set up a drop off time. Income tax receipt provided. Older Persons Commission, 650 Letica, Rochester.
