“Because each show includes local references, spontaneous humor, and an ever changing ending, audiences have fun seeing ‘Shear Madness over and over again,” said Travis W. Walter, MBT artistic director. “Shear Madness holds the Guinness World Record as the longest running play in America—it’s being going for almost 40 years in Boston and 30 years in Washington D.C.”

Last season, Shear Madness had a successful Off-Broadway run, and two of the New York cast members are joining the Meadow Brook family for this production. Gil Brady will play Nick O’Brien and Timothy C. Goodwin will play Tony Whitcomb at MBT. The remainder of the cast includes Chris Stinson (Mike Thomas) and Cory Cunningham (Eddie Lawrence) from the Washington D.C. cast and MBT alums Leslie Ann Handelman (Barbara DeMarco),and Lynnae Lehfeldt (Mrs. Shubert).

“And, of course, Rochester,” added Walter. “You’re going to swear the salon is just down the road. It’s almost like the region is another character.”

Shear Madness is directed by Travis W. Walter. Terry W. Carpenter is the stage manager with set design by Brian Kessler, costume design by Corey Collins, lighting design by Reid G. Johnson and sound design by Mike Duncan.
