The RHGYC is sponsoring a 5k Run/Walk to benefit the Rochester Area Neighborhood House on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Bloomer Park, located at the north end of John R Road north of Avon Road. The 5k Run/Walk will wind through the park’s scenic cross-country trails. This year’s fun run/walk event will be chip timed.
The Rochester Area Neighborhood House (RANH) recognizes the basic needs of residents in crisis and responds with emotional and financial assistance. Founded in faith, RANH believes that people helping people is the model of a strong community. RANH helps neighbors in need by providing food, clothing, transportation, counseling and financial assistance.
Please join the RHGYC in their fund raising efforts for this very worthy organization. Sponsors and donors are also encouraged and welcome.
Entrance forms for runners and sponsors of the 5K along with links to online registration are available in the Youth Council area of the City’s website at www.rochesterhills.org. Participants submitting entries by June 1, 2011 will receive a Race T-shirt. After June 1, T-shirts will be available for entrants while supplies last.
