Zenith Brass will present its 24th Annual Fall Concert at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 18 at the Oak Arbor Church, 495 Oak Arbor Circle West, Rochester, MI (4 miles north of downtown Rochester). Founded in 1995 by Director Mark Petty, this group of 28 outstanding teenage musicians proudly represents school bands across Oakland and Macomb Counties. Their participation in Zenith Brass helps them develop additional skills to take back to their own school bands.
Director Mark Petty says, “The program includes 2 fanfares, a patriotic tribute to our veterans and a Sousa march, classical and modern choral works scored for brass, a Wagner opera prelude, a 400-year-old Venetian Canzon and a popular bagpipe tune used by Scottish soccer teams.”
Zenith Brass concerts feature an interesting commentary on each selection provided by Petty’s wife, Carol. This varied program will appeal to all ages in the audience. There is no admission and no tickets are required.
Zenith Brass is a 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and all donations are tax-deductible.
